About Lumi
I am a committed and patient Violin tutor with 8 years of experience, mentoring around 150 students from beginners to advanced learners. My teaching philosophy centers on clarity, consistency, and encouragement. I start by ensuring students develop correct posture, balanced bow grip, accurate finger placement, and smooth tone production.
As they progress, I introduce more complex techniques such as advanced bow strokes, articulation, and expressive interpretation. I believe that learning should be structured yet enjoyable, so I carefully select pieces that challenge and motivate students.
I also guide learners in building disciplined practice habits that lead to long-term improvement. A unique quality I bring is my ability to build student confidence and reduce stage fear through gradual performance preparation. My goal is to create confident musicians who play with both precision and emotion.

I believe that violin learning should be structured yet inspiring. My classes are built on open communication where students feel comfortable asking questions. I adjust my lessons according to each student’s strengths and areas for improvement.
I carefully guide them through technical development including vibrato practice, shifting techniques, articulation control, and expressive dynamics. In addition to violin performance, I teach related subjects such as music theory, rhythm exercises, ear training, sight reading, music history, and ensemble performance skills. I use real-life case studies from concerts, recitals, and examinations to show how preparation leads to success.
This practical approach builds confidence and stage readiness. My goal is to develop skilled musicians who understand both technique and musical emotion.
