About Zara
I’m a violin tutor with over 6 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Orchestral Studies (Violin). I love combining traditional violin skills with modern technology to help my students improve faster and with more clarity. I use slow-down apps to break down tricky passages, digital audio workstations (DAWs) and MIDI notation to create custom backing tracks, and video feedback so students can visually analyze their posture and technique. My passion lies in teaching exciting genres like Jazz Violin, Rock Strings, and Indie Folk. I enjoy guiding students through improvisation, encouraging them to find their own voice on the instrument. Creating personalized backing tracks is one of my favorite ways to support creative practice and keep lessons fresh. I believe learning violin should be dynamic and inspiring, blending structure with creativity. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to expand your style, I tailor each lesson to your goals and musical tastes.
