About Skylar
I’m an undergraduate student, so I understand the stress and struggle that can come with trying to grasp something challenging or confusing. But I’ve also made it this far and have learned what strategies worked well for me and my peers—and what often led to dead ends. Every student is different, and I take a creative and intuitive approach to developing a learning strategy that works best for you. School never came easily to me; I had to work hard and attend tutoring myself to earn good grades. I graduated high school with a 5.28 GPA and have maintained nearly all As in college while pursuing a pre-medicine track, majoring in anthropology, and minoring in Spanish (which is a lot of work!). I’m here to help you feel more in control of your learning—and we’ll have a good time along the way. I also believe in regular check-ins when tackling new topics, so we can stay productive while managing stress.

I can work on a case-by-case basis, assisting you with your most urgent tutoring needs to help take some stress off your plate. We can brainstorm essay ideas together, build analysis skills, organize your essays, and review works together so you feel confident doing these skills on your own in the future. I work with students in elementary school, high school, and introductory college-level courses. I'm also confident helping with college admission essays and would be happy to assist! I've revised many of my own papers and others' to ensure strong grades and timely submissions.
