About Guido
I'm Guido Garcia Lueches, 31, and am an actor and private tutor. I'm originally from Uruguay, though have been based in London since 2014. I speak English and Spanish natively, and have been tutoring both Spanish and Mathematics for some time now, helping many clients reach their exam objectives over the years. I'm very curious, and like to understand how things work, and that is what I try to pass on to my tutees. When prepping for specific exams, be that GCSE, A-levels, or IBs, I focus both on the syllabus and on actual exam strategy, so that when the student sits for the exam they know exactly what to expect and how to maximise their chances of success. This method has given me a pretty good track record of helping students get top grades in their exams. Even before moving to London, two years in a row a student of mine was the best grade in Uruguay in their IGCSE Maths. Being a professional actor also helps with making the lessons entertaining, and giving much needed levity to the proceedings. As important and serious as education is, if the student isn't enjoying themselves very little learning will get done. I strive for my lessons to be interesting as well as useful. Guido provided great tutoring for my sons through GCSE. He was fun, engaging and connected with them on their level which was essential and made them actually look forward to his sessions. Guido brings a warmth and enthusiasm to his tutoring that makes the lessons very enjoyable. All the key topics are covered meticulously, but in an atmosphere that makes learning loads of fun.
