About Marlon
I'm a navy retired medical laboratory of 22 years and 10+ years social worker, offering 5+ years tutoring to disadvantaged youth as adjunct to my mental health social work clients. Have volunteer tutored over 10 elementary and jr. high during varied after-school programs. Students have achieved improved grades and self confidence, parents have gained more academically motivated, disciplined children. I can help offer improved willingness to learn often improving chances of high school completion.

My teaching method is self-paced, relevant examples to current day events, and lead by example. I wish to use my social services skills of attention to detail, creative problem solving, and encourage supportive communication as an asset to persons of which I am willing to impart my education experiences. Have ability to empathize and help persons explore creative brainstorming and art as therapy approaches to learning.
