About Alvin
I started learning programming in year 10 and have since been happy to help many friends and peers with anything I can :D
I was a PASS leader in my second year for FIT1047 - Introduction to computer systems, networks and security, considered to be one of the more difficult first-year units, where I assisted many university students to pass that subject.
I worked at a tutoring company, Kumon, for a long time so I have lots of experience tutoring many students from Prep to VCE in Mathematics, and I have been private tutoring on and off for a few years.

My lessons are pretty flexible depending on what the student wants.
I can go through a particular syllabus with the student, but I have also prepared my own. I mainly use Python but the language
I am able to help students with:
Programming for the first time
Python
Java
I do not usually set homework unless student wants it or I believe it is necessary for the student to do some extra practice, but I will provide feedback at the end of every lesson and what needs to be worked on.
My teaching method tends to try to make sure a student understands a topic well enough they would be able to teach it to someone else before moving on.
