About Martin
I am working as a Software Engineer at American Express at the moment for my summer internship as well as a second year student studying Electronic and Information Engineering at King's College London. I have tutored for 6 months and mainly taught Python, Data Structures and Algorithms to students. My teaching experience involves teaching university students as a teachers assistant, so I am very confident in my abilities. I am on track for a First degree as well as obtaining top grades in A-Levels at Harrow School. Moreover, I have experience in industry level; Facebook, Google, Amex, Minecraft.

As a student, I am very aware of the best ways to teach computer science and mathematics, as I was in the students position not long ago. I usually begin my lessons by understanding what the pupil already knows and consolidating and reinforcing this knowledge to make sure the foundation of their knowledge is at the right level. I advocate and use active recall techniques as these have been proven to be optimal for long term memory.

Martini has help me improve my python skills greatly. He’s an engaging and knowledgeable teacher and I’ve had a lot of fun in his lessons. Highly recommended!
Love Martini’s teaching style! Martini doesn’t expect you to sit there and take notes while he rolls out crude information (like lots of teachers do). He gives you problems and let’s you work through them from start to finish, which I believe is the best way to learn programming. That’s probably why hours of reading books or watching online videos couldn’t help me, and a session with Martini did!
Martini was the first tutor I had, at the time I was doing my A-Levels and he was incredibly helpful, was a real change to my school teacher who wasn’t great at explanations. Would definitely recommend him!
