About John
I've been working with software for over ten years. I've worked on shiny websites in modern web languages and hidden "backend" applications that had to scale to massive sizes. During that time I've had the opportunity to use my knowledge at large corporations, tiny startups, and my own freelancing. During that time I've had the opportunity to apply my own education, as well as self-teach the things they don't teach you in school. I would love to share my knowledge with you!

Perfect! Thank you so much for the fantastic lesson! I've been looking for someone to explain the basics of JavaScript, and Josh did it in an academic yet accessible manner, demonstrating with examples how it all works. I'm very satisfied and eagerly await the next lesson
Perfect! John is very knowledgeable, and he always comes to our lessons prepared. He has given me tasks that are within my ability but still challenge me. I believe that I can accomplish my goals with him as my tutor. I would definitely recommend him.
Perfect! I agree that John does have a superpower in breaking down complex things into simpler terms for me to understand. This is my first time using tutoring services besides the free ones my schools offer. I'm sure his experience, knowledge, and tutoring style would be a great fit for anyone. John was my group leader for a while. He has great depth of knowledge, and an ability to break it down into bite sized bits that are easier to understand. He is strong at asking you questions to help guide you to an understanding when you are close or pose information that will help you get to the understanding! Highly recommend using John to help you learn!
