About Valerii
I'm a Solution Architect & Engineering Leader with 10 years of experience.
I have worked with top IT companies (both product- and software services–focused) on challenging platform transformations, innovations, and migrations.
I'm an active member and certified architect in a variety of communities, such as cloud technologies (Amazon Web Services), Java, Scrum, and API Days.
I have experience building engineering departments from scratch, which is why I understand what companies look for when assessing individuals.
I’ve had both good and challenging experiences in technical software sales and would be glad to share my insights.
I have used this experience—from being a Computer Science graduate to becoming an architect, leader, and coach—to develop programmes that help people shape their careers in IT.

On our first lesson: we will meet online or in person to build an understanding of your current situation.
I will focus on helping to steer the conversation to uncover your true vision and goals for this important choice in your life.
In our first week: we will start working on your actionable career plan.
In our first month: you will have clear goals and a plan in motion.
Next (on-demand meet-ups, usually monthly): I'll guide you through execution, help you work on feedback and results, and steer you towards your goals.
Later (any time): I'm happy to stay connected with all my mentees and provide career advice in the future.
Some actions I cover (not limited to): internship opportunities in FAANG (with a focus on Amazon Web Services), career directions and prospects in IT, how to get value from your university projects and use them as references for interviews, and your first CV.
Software Engineers into Leadership Course
On our first lesson: we will meet online or in person to understand your current situation.
We will talk about what makes you happy at work and your past experiences.
In our first week: we will focus on your growth and build a skills matrix.
In our first month: we will work on a personal growth plan and assess the job market to define the best strategy for securing an opportunity.
Next: I'll help you visualise your impact and ability to lead engineering within your organisation, or help you prepare for interviews if that is part of your strategy.
Some actions I cover (not limited to): skills matrix, career direction (staff engineering, architecture, leadership, sales, etc.), and motivation strategies beyond 9–5 work and handling stress.
IT Technical Sales Course
(designed for BAs and Software Engineers who want insider knowledge about tech sales and to boost skills and confidence)
On our first lesson: we will meet online or in person to understand your current situation.
We will discuss what makes you happy at work and your past experiences. We will also talk about what it takes to get into tech sales and how it differs from working in IT delivery.
In our first week: we will focus on building the necessary skills and adjusting your project approach to transition into the role.
In our first month: we will create a personal growth plan and assess the job market to define the best strategy for securing an opportunity. We will also work on a test project to build hands-on skills.
Next (monthly sessions): we will track your progress and maintain control over execution.
Some actions I cover (not limited to): skills matrix, project assessment approaches, sales strategies for existing projects, new direct opportunities, and partner-led projects.
IT for Business Leaders Course
On our first lesson: we will deep dive into your case and your organisation’s challenges.
In our first week: we will work together to produce an unbiased assessment of the situation and a plan to support your personal growth in IT governance maturity.
In following monthly sessions (frequency can be adjusted based on your needs): we will have touchpoints to provide a second opinion on challenges and opportunities, and keep you aligned with key industry trends.
