About Alex
BIO:
With his distinctive singing voice, literary lyric writing style and his ability to straddle multiple music genres, Alex Hallahan sprang from out of nowhere in 2008 with his first album release, The Turning Wheel. He became part of Melbourne’s thriving live music scene between 2007 and 2015. He released his second album Human Veins with his then backing band (The Woodland Hunters) in 2012. In 2015 he released the single Tangle for Two, which had its first play on Double J’s Tower of Song program.
His music has been played and playlisted on radio station such as Triple J, ABC national, 3RRR, PBSfm, FBI radio and many more. In 2008 his song 'The Turning Wheel' was selected as a 'Song of the Times' by Neil Young's Living With War Website. Hallahan has toured nationally and played his songs at music festivals.
