About Soren
I've been teaching Englishl for a year, and I think that learning should be interesting and fun no matter what situation you are in, what level your english is, or who your teach is. I think it's important to create an enjoyable learning environment in the classroom where the students are eager to learn about the English language. I attempt to make the classroom a safe, engaging and relatable space by using games, creative projects, and interactive discussions. By encouraging active participation, I help students develop a feeling of community and turn learning into a shared experience.

My methods include using flashcards, pictures, and games to help fluency in the english Lamguage. As a person who learned a second language, I can understand what is the most beneficial for a student, while simutaneously being fun and exciting!
A typical lesson plan would start out with a game to get the student excited, ready, and there brains to kick into english mode. We would then move on to what words and vocabulary we would be focusing on today so the student can grasp the idea of what is going on. We would then go onto excersise that include pictures and audio to better the students knowledge on what is being learnt. After that, we go to flash cards, and review what we learned in today's class. Finally, we would finish with a game so it is a fun way to end the class!
The classes are intended for people who are looking to learn english as a second language, and already have a basic understanding of the language, to the point they can hold a whole class in English. An exception to this could be if the student speaks Chinese, and therefore any level of english is ok, because communicating in English, and if neccessary, I could translate into Chinese to help the student understand more.
