As a Spanish tutor, my approach is based on creating a stimulating and student-centered learning environment. My main objective is to help my students to develop effective communication skills in Spanish, while fostering their confidence and motivation in the learning process. Here is how to share my knowledge and teaching techniques: Teaching method and techniques: I use a communicative approach, where the emphasis is on practice and the active use of the language in real situations. During my classes, I promote constant interaction between myself and the students, as well as between the students themselves, so that they can apply what they have learned in a practical way.
Also, use a variety of techniques and resources to address different language skills. This can include role play activities, discussions, vocabulary games, listening and comprehension exercises, authentic readings, creative writing, among others. It also incorporates the use of audiovisual media and technology where relevant and enhances learning.
Typical Lesson Plan: Each lesson is tailored to the specific needs of students, but generally follows a structure that includes:
Warm-up: I start the class with a short activity to spark interest and repair the previous content.
Lesson Objectives: I establish the learning objectives for the session and explain how they relate to communication skills.
Main activities: I use a variety of activities, such as dialogues, oral and written comprehension exercises, vocabulary and grammar practice, interactive games, thematic conversations, etc.
Guided Practice: I provide examples and guide students in applying the concepts learned.
Independent practice: I give them the opportunity to practice autonomously, with my support and feedback.
Closing: Recap of what has been learned, review of doubts and observance of tasks for the next class.
