About Shelby
I am a studying for my bachelor's degree in Spanish and Business (graduation May 2020) who is looking to tutor any Spanish student at any level! I studied abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina giving me experience in Latin American Spanish and have studied for 12 years in Georgia giving me experience in more traditional Spanish from Spain. For the past 5 years I have tutored younger students in Spanish and the past 2 years I have tutored my peers at our campus tutoring center. I love teaching and would love to help any student in learning Spanish!

I believe that every student learns differently so as a tutor or teacher it is important to adapt to the student's best method for learning. I, myself, am a visual learner, so I always try to incorporate visual aspects or little tricks into helping with memorization. For world languages, I think it is very important to use application when learning. Simply learning vocabulary or grammar rules will not lead to learning another language efficiently. I always try to help my students in applying the things they learn whether that means writing full sentences, reading stories, or having conversations!
