About Rob
Following a successful twelve-year career in professional services in London, I changed direction and became a qualified secondary teacher in Spanish (and French) and now teach Spanish at all levels, including GCSE, A Level and IB. I was born in Spain and grew up in various parts of the country having been educated there until the age of 10, at which point I went to boarding school in the UK, so my passion spreads far beyond the language elements to include all manner of social and cultural interests. I am a keen sportsman (particularly rugby, tennis and padel) and enjoy the casual distractions in life such as eating out, spending time with my children or enjoying a glass of Ribera del Duero whilst catching up with old friends and new!

I teach Spanish at all levels, including GCSE, A Level and IB. I was born in Spain and grew up in various parts of the country having been educated there until the age of 10, at which point I went to boarding school in the UK, so my passion spreads far beyond the language elements to include all manner of social and cultural interests. My Spanish accent is central Castilian and my style is friendly, approachable, down-to-earth and easy-going whilst generating an interest in the language by introducing current cultural content. I am adept at gauging the strengths and weaknesses of students and applying the necessary tools to develop and support a range of capabilities. I have a proven track record of success in the demands for GCSE, AS/A Level and IB.
