About Evelyn
Hi, my name is Evelyn! I’m a native Spanish speaker. I was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic! I love languages! I have a BA in Spanish and a minor in Italian! I studied graduate courses in translation and interpretation. All from Rutgers University. I have worked as a translator, interpreter and a high school Spanish teacher. I have been a public speaker for many years and I have had the privilege of speaking to Spanish speaking audiences! I love to talk and find lots of joy in teaching Spanish and watching people acquire the ability to communicate in this beautiful language! I love my family, eating good food and traveling with my husband and kiddos!

Hi! I’m Evelyn! Enjoy an interactive and informal hour of learning Spanish! In our sessions we will work our way up to an immersive style of teaching, in which you will be speaking Spanish from the beginning of our session to the end. You will learn to master the types of conversations you hope to engage in! Whether that’s a simple and informal conversation with a neighbor, friend, family member or loved one, or a more involved and formal conversation with a coworker, colleague or business partner, your sessions with me will help you navigate the nuance of the context you wish to speak in!! Our first session will focus on understanding your goals and desires so I can tailor make a curriculum just for your goals!! Let’s get started!!
