About Sophie
My interest in Spanish began through curiosity about global cultures, travel communication, and language structure during my academic journey. This passion led me to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Hispanic Studies followed by a Master’s Degree in Hispanic Linguistics and Applied Communication. Over the past 6 years, I have helped students from different backgrounds build fluency and confidence in Spanish.
I believe language learning should be practical, engaging, and accessible. My teaching style focuses on real-life conversation practice, structured explanation, and interactive learning methods that help students understand Spanish naturally. I encourage students to speak freely because confidence grows through practice and interaction.
Outside teaching, I enjoy exploring Spanish literature, listening to Latin American music, and studying cultural traditions. Staying connected to the language helps me bring fresh ideas into lessons. Teaching Spanish is meaningful to me because I enjoy helping students communicate confidently. My goal is to support every learner in speaking Spanish naturally and comfortably.

My Spanish lessons focus on helping students speak naturally through guided conversation practice, structured grammar learning, and interactive speaking activities. I teach pronunciation, vocabulary expansion, sentence building, listening comprehension, reading practice, and fluency development in a calm and supportive environment. Students learn how consistent practice improves confidence and real-life communication ability over time. Every lesson is designed to feel simple, engaging, and easy to follow.
Lessons are adapted according to each learner’s level and goals. Beginners focus on greetings, basic grammar structures, and simple conversations, while advanced learners work on fluent speaking, writing improvement, listening accuracy, and expressive communication. I include roleplays, storytelling exercises, guided discussions, and reading tasks regularly because active participation strengthens learning effectively. Students receive gentle correction that helps them improve without pressure or confusion.
I aim to create a relaxed space where students feel comfortable speaking Spanish without fear of mistakes. Many learners struggle with hesitation, so I focus on gradual confidence building through practice and encouragement. Over time, students become more fluent, expressive, and confident. Spanish becomes easier when learners feel supported and motivated throughout their journey.
