About Lena
I have 9 years of experience teaching Spanish, holding a B.A in Spanish Linguistics and an M.A in Hispanic Studies. Over the years, I have guided learners from beginners to advanced students, helping them build conversational skills, comprehension, grammatical accuracy, and cultural understanding. My teaching philosophy emphasises interactive learning, consistent practice, and real-world application to cultivate fluency and confidence in every student.
I prioritise patience, creativity, and engagement in lessons. Students are encouraged to participate actively, make mistakes safely, and explore language use in realistic contexts. Lessons incorporate reading, writing, conversation, listening exercises, and cultural exploration to provide a comprehensive language experience.

Spanish lessons are most effective when learners actively engage with language and culture, blending structured instruction with practical usage. My lessons focus on grammar, verb conjugation, vocabulary building, sentence structure, conversational fluency, reading comprehension, and listening skills. Classes incorporate interactive activities such as dialogues, role-plays, games, cultural immersion, and multimedia resources to help students internalise concepts and practise real-life communication. Every session encourages learners to ask questions, experiment with language, and gain confidence in expression.
I design lessons to match the student’s level and objectives. Beginners focus on foundational grammar, common vocabulary, sentence construction, and basic conversational phrases. Intermediate learners expand vocabulary, refine pronunciation, improve comprehension, and engage in structured conversations. Advanced students concentrate on complex grammatical structures, idiomatic expressions, debates, advanced reading, and writing exercises.
