About Alden
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Language and Cultural Studies with a specialization in Spanish, and I’ve been teaching Spanish for over five years. My own language-learning journey has taught me how rewarding—and at times challenging—mastering a new language can be. That understanding drives the patient, encouraging, and adaptable teaching style I bring to every student I work with. My teaching experience includes working with both children and adults, across a variety of learning goals: from helping beginners form their first sentences to coaching advanced students preparing for proficiency exams. I take pride in making lessons enjoyable and purposeful, drawing on real-life scenarios and topics that keep students engaged while strengthening their practical communication skills. Beyond teaching, I stay immersed in the Spanish language and Hispanic cultures. I frequently read literature, watch Spanish-language media, and travel when possible to Spanish-speaking countries.
