About Karis
I typically like to see what a student is working on in school or what their biggest need is. We review the topic they need help with and either use practice from their book or examples that I come up with from my own material. Depending on the level of student and what they are looking for, I will speak, read, write with and provide listening activities for the student. Immersion is the best teacher! I majored in Spanish in college, but I truly became fluent during my travels to Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Honduras and Puerto Rico which all together equal about one year living abroad. I picked up even more valuable teaching skills during my time spent as a Spanish teacher in a private school just outside of Atlanta.

I come from a family of educators. Stuckers have been teaching for generations. I began with tutoring Spanish, but have since expanded to English and Writing as I saw the need arise.

Every lesson is adapted to fit your student’s needs and style of learning. After teaching in the classroom I know firsthand how easy it is for smart kids to fall behind. That’s why I love tutoring so much. It gives me the chance to personalize your child’s learning experience as well as build a relationship with them.
