About Eleanor
I have lived in Spain for three and a half years, where I taught English language to pupils as young as four up to adults. I have experience working with all levels (nursery, adult beginners, preparatory classes for university students taking the Cambridge Advanced English Certificate), with a 100% pass rate.
Although Spanish isn't my native language, I have passed the C1 Advanced DELE certificate in Spanish. My experience of teaching English as a foreign language, combined with my higher education in various foreign languages, puts me in the unique position of being able to teach Spanish from a non-native, empathetic perspective!

Relaxed yet thorough teaching style. I can offer support for GCSE or intermediate level Spanish students, including help with grammar, written expression, and conversation practice (useful phrases, slang, and colloquial expressions covered!) I am also a strong supporter of using language games to practice vocabulary and get pupils out of their comfort zone.
I am a British native. I have a BA degree in French and Italian, but have lived in Spain for three and a half years, where I learnt the language from scratch. I am therefore very familiar with the struggles of learning a foreign language from zero, and can help English speakers get to grips with the Spanish spoken by real Spaniards (and not just the Spanish limited to textbooks).
