About Jane
I just finished my Sophomore year at Vanderbilt University. I study Special education and Child Studies. I have worked in classrooms as teachers assistants, I was a tutor for 3 years in High School, and this past May I subbed for an elementary school reading specialist. I am eager to support students who need extra help in reading and writing and would love to use my skills and knowledge to help as many students as I can.

While taking classes at Vanderbilt, subbing in elementary schools, and interning for a local reading specialist, I have found a love for teaching students how to read and write. I understand that reading and writing are skills that take practice and individualized support for many students and I hope to lead students to meet their goals in reading and writing. A session could look like supporting a student in summer homework or giving individualized reading and writing lessons based on target skills for a student.
