About Tammy
As a tutor, I always want the student to feel safe and important. I try to establish good rapport with the student and talk about what they enjoy and what makes them happy. I have worked with children for over 25 years and for over 15 years in a classroom setting. I have 2 children of my own and also have 3 dogs at my house. I try to be laid back but also make sure we are on track and working. No question is "stupid" and no one should ever feel bad while we are working together.

Taking lessons with me will be an experience like you have always wanted! I believe in having fun while learning. I know if I am not interested or enjoying myself, it is harder to stay focused and learn. I put games, fun activities, videos and other activities in our lessons to keep it fun and keep it rolling! I have the most experience in Elementary Special Education, and love every minute of it. I look at the individual and study the way they learn best and go from there. Every child learns and focuses in their own way. I encourage every child, and celebrate even the smallest win. I want all children to feel important and special.
