About Yu Zhi

I am a passionate and dedicated tutor currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Life Sciences and Psychology at the National University of Singapore (NUS). With a strong academic track record (6 distinctions at O-Levels and 5 at A-Levels) I bring both deep subject knowledge and a proven ability to succeed in rigorous academic environments. My background in both the sciences and psychology gives me a unique edge in teaching. I understand not just the content, but also how students learn best. This allows me to take a thoughtful, student-centered approach to every lesson—tailoring explanations, pacing, and strategies to support different learning styles.

About the lesson

Lessons are supported by high-quality, in-house materials, including teaching slides, worksheets, practice papers, and past-year exam papers. To boost engagement and reinforce learning, sessions include interactive games and activities designed for active recall. Many of my students have shown significant grade improvements, as reflected in glowing testimonials. Lessons are typically 1.5h long for effective engagement. With more than 3 years of experience and a strong academic foundation (6 distinctions at O-Levels and 5 at A-Levels), I bring deep subject mastery and a passion for simplifying complex science concepts.
