Hello! I’m a Specialist Biomedical Scientist with a Master’s in Blood Sciences and over a decade of hands-on experience in NHS laboratories. Alongside my diagnostic role, I mentor students and trainees, helping them build confidence in both theoretical knowledge and practical applications. Over the years, I’ve guided Biomedical Science students through degree modules, HCPC/IBMS registration portfolios, and professional competencies. I’ve also worked in quality and training — including organising a Quality Management System and supporting a UKAS inspection with zero findings. This background allows me to teach not only the science but also the standards and best practices expected in real lab environments. My tutoring covers: Biomedical Science and Clinical Biochemistry (undergraduate to MSc) Portfolio and competency mentoring (IBMS registration or specialist) Lab principles, analyser understanding, and result interpretation Quality management and audit basics for biomedical scientists Biology, Chemistry, or Biochemistry (A-level / access courses) Lessons are delivered online (Teams or Zoom), and I’m available evenings and weekends to fit around study or work commitments.
