About Saira
I am a university student, studying Dentistry. I have been a high achieving student since I was extremely young; achieving 100% in my 11+ exam to attaining A*A*A in my A-Levels. I have many years of tutoring experience under my belt. My father being a teacher would hold tuition classes four times a week; I progressed from being a student to eventually a member of staff. From tutoring young students, to mentoring members of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets to my college teachers requesting I tutor younger students, I have many years of experience in the teaching field! I believe success is on the horizon for every single individual, it is simply what we do that determines the level of success we reach. With my extensive subject knowledge, as demonstrated through my academic ability, I wish to aid all students to fulfil their dreams!

I introduce my lessons with concise learning objectives, to provide students with a clear understanding of what I expect them to achieve by the end of the lesson. I will then use different teaching skills to teach my students what they are interested in or where they may need to improve. I will use different teaching styles to tailor to individual students. Where someone may excel by listening to a lecture, someone else may only prosper through kinaesthetic styles of learning. I will constantly ask questions, to ensure the student is engaged and is understanding what is being taught. Moreover, I will encourage the student to ask as many questions as they wish, to consolidate their learning! Dependent upon the aim of the lesson, I will create activities for the students to complete. This could range from past paper exam questions, to creating mind-maps, etc. I will summarise the lesson with a plenary. At this point I will be hopeful that my students have achieved the learning objectives. If requested or necessary I will set homework to be completed. My lessons are typically between 30-60 minutes, dependent on the needs of the student. I have been tutoring for four years, however I have spent my entire life surrounding my tutoring and teaching, as the daughter of a teacher.
