Hi, I’m Jasmine, a patient, professional, and supportive tutor who is passionate about helping students build confidence and make meaningful progress. My approach as a tutor is supportive, structured, and tailored to each student’s needs. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable, encouraged, and clearly understand both the purpose of the lesson and how to apply what they are learning. My teaching methodology combines explanation, guided practice, repetition, and active participation so that students can build both skill and confidence over time.
A typical lesson begins with a short review of previous material, followed by a focused lesson on one or two key concepts. Depending on the student’s needs, we may work on oral expression, thesis development, text commentary, diction, reading comprehension, or literacy skills through discussion, exercises, close reading, writing support, and correction. I like to end each session with a recap of what was learned, feedback on progress, and clear next steps so students feel grounded and motivated.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to combine patience, clarity, and strong communication with a personalized teaching style. I take the time to understand how each student learns best, and I aim to create a calm, respectful environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and improving at their own pace. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s level, goals, and areas of focus, whether that includes oral expression, thesis preparation, reading comprehension, text commentary, diction, or literacy development.
Hourly Rate – $35/hour
This rate covers individualized instruction, lesson preparation, and focused academic support in a professional and encouraging learning environment.
5-Hour Pack – $175
This package is ideal for students who want consistent short-term support and a structured way to build momentum.
10-Hour Pack – $350
This option is best for students looking for ongoing progress over time and a stronger academic routine.
Webcam – $35/hour
Online lessons are offered at the same rate because students still receive the same level of preparation, engagement, and personalized instruction.
Travel – +$21
The travel fee covers transportation time and costs for in-person lessons delivered at the student’s location.
Free 1-Hour Lesson
