About Kyra
I am a Physics tutor with over 4 years of experience and a BSc in Physics and Computer Science. I specialise in making quantum mechanics accessible and engaging for advanced high school and university students. My teaching focuses on core concepts like wave-particle duality, Schrödinger’s equation, and various quantum phenomena. I use clear analogies and thought experiments to help students grasp these often challenging ideas. I have worked extensively with students pursuing physics degrees as well as those simply curious about the fascinating world of modern physics. My teaching approach to Physics centres on nurturing a deep understanding of experimental design, data analysis, error propagation, and scientific reporting. Lessons are gentle and patient, helping learners build confidence as they explore physics hands-on. I work closely with DIY Scientists and Curiosity-Driven Learners, supporting them in discovering their own unique methods of investigation. Through clear explanations and guided practice, I help students develop skills to analyse data accurately and understand the importance of error margins. Scientific reporting is taught as a vital skill, ensuring students can communicate their findings effectively. Each lesson is designed to encourage curiosity while maintaining structure and clarity. I provide consistent feedback and tailor guidance to help students overcome challenges and excel in their scientific journey. Together, we explore how to design meaningful experiments and interpret results with confidence. With this approach, students gain a solid foundation for laboratory work and a fresh perspective on how science is truly done.
