About Kate
With 11 years of experience teaching Singing, I have successfully guided over 250 High School and College students. I focus on helping students improve vocal technique, pitch, tone, and performance skills while developing stage confidence. My teaching philosophy combines structured lessons with creativity, tailoring instruction to each student’s learning style and goals. I include breathing exercises, vocal drills, music theory, and performance practice in every lesson. Many of my students have competed in school and college events, achieving recognition and awards. I aim to help students gain confidence, refine their skills, and cultivate a lifelong love for music.

My approach to teaching Singing is student-centred, creative, and encouraging. I believe learning is most effective in a safe and motivating environment. I start by understanding the student’s voice, goals, and preferred learning style. I adapt lessons using listening practice, repetition, and practical exercises. Lessons focus on breathing control, pitch accuracy, tone quality, vocal flexibility, and expressive singing. Creativity is encouraged through song interpretation, improvisation, and exploring different musical genres. This helps students develop a unique voice. Diplomacy guides my teaching style. I provide patient and respectful feedback, creating a safe space for learning and improvement. Along with Singing, I teach basic music theory, ear training, rhythm, vocal care, pronunciation, and performance preparation to build confident and expressive singers.
