I am a Warwick University Statistics graduate and CIMA-qualified accountant with a passion for teaching maths and accounting. I believe that every student has the potential to succeed, and my goal as a tutor is to make learning engaging, accessible, and effective. I use a personalised approach to tutoring, tailoring each session to the unique needs and learning styles of my students. Here's how I approach each lesson: Teaching Methodology: I use a blend of interactive techniques to help students grasp complex concepts and build confidence. I focus on breaking down challenging topics into manageable steps and provide plenty of opportunities for practice and discussion. For GCSE and A-Level students, I integrate real-world examples to make abstract theories more relatable and relevant. In addition to covering core content, I help students develop strong problem-solving skills, exam strategies, and time management techniques. Lesson Structure: My lessons typically last 1.5 to 2 hours, ensuring enough time for both teaching and student questions. However, I can adjust the length based on individual needs. I start each session with a brief review of previous material, followed by a focused lesson on the current topic. We’ll work through examples together, and I provide plenty of practice questions to solidify understanding. I believe in regular feedback, and every lesson includes time to address any challenges the student might be facing. Qualifications & Experience: As a Statistics graduate from Warwick University and a CIMA qualified accountant, I have a strong foundation in both mathematics and accounting. I’ve worked with students at various academic levels, from GCSE to A-Level, helping them not only understand key concepts but also excel in their exams. My professional background as an accountant also gives me the ability to connect theoretical knowledge with practical applications, ensuring students see the value of what they’re learning.
