About Shikemi
I am a Statistics graduate and Mathematics Tutor passionate about helping children aged 7–10 build strong mathematical foundations. I teach Mathematics as a skill, not just a subject, using personalized learning approaches that make concepts simple, engaging, and practical.
I believe every child can learn, and I am committed to helping learners develop confidence, problem-solving skills, and a love for Mathematics. I teach because I enjoy seeing children move from confusion to understanding and from fear to confidence. Knowing that I can help a child discover their potential and succeed in Mathematics is what motivates me every day.

My teaching approach is built on the belief that every child can learn when given the right support, environment, and learning experience.
I recognize that children learn differently, so I do not rely on a one-size-fits-all method. Instead, I assess each learner's current level, identify their strengths and learning gaps, and design lessons that meet their individual needs.
I focus on building understanding before speed, confidence before complexity, and mastery before progression. By personalizing the learning experience, I help learners engage actively with Mathematics rather than simply memorizing procedures.
This approach has consistently helped my learners improve their confidence, problem-solving skills, and overall performance in Mathematics. More importantly, it has helped many children move from "I can't do Maths" to "I can figure this out."
