As a student in Statistics and Data Science from UCLA, I have mastered various technical skills and gained comprehensive knowledge in related disciplines. I've had the privilege of serving in numerous roles, ranging from product management to data science, in innovative and high-performing companies such as Bourns Inc. and GeoGenius. This broad exposure has given me a rich understanding of how academic concepts apply in real-world scenarios - a perspective I am eager to share with my students.
Moreover, my experience as a co-founder and board member of UCLA’s first inclusive data science club has honed my teaching and mentoring abilities. I've spearheaded initiatives like a guided project program specifically designed to help beginners learn Python and SQL.

Hello everyone,
As an experienced tutor and a dedicated UCLA Statistics and Data Science student, my approach to tutoring centers around fostering a clear understanding of foundational concepts, tailoring each lesson to the individual student's needs, and making learning an engaging and enjoyable process.
My Teaching Method and Techniques:
I adopt a student-centered, interactive approach to teaching. Whether it's English, Mathematics, or test prep for SAT and ACT, my aim is to make complex concepts accessible and relatable. I adapt my teaching methods to align with the student's preferred learning style, using a mix of visual aids, real-life examples, and engaging discussions to enhance understanding.
For English, I emphasize developing strong reading comprehension and writing skills, while for Mathematics, I focus on promoting a solid understanding of fundamental concepts that will form the backbone of their mathematical knowledge.
A Typical Lesson Plan:
Review of Previous Lesson: Each session begins with a recap of the previous lesson to reinforce understanding and retention.
Introduction of New Concepts: I introduce new topics, ensuring to break down complex ideas into digestible, understandable pieces. Student participation is highly encouraged at this stage.
Practice Problems/Exercises: This includes solving mathematical problems or working on reading comprehension and writing exercises, depending on the subject.
Recap and Preview: We conclude with a summary of the current lesson and a brief introduction to the next topic.
For SAT/ACT test prep, we also go through practice tests and focus on strategies for efficient time management, addressing common pitfalls, and reducing exam anxiety.
