About Elizabeth
I am a dedicated flute tutor with 11 years of experience teaching High School, College, and adult students. I have taught 150-200 students, helping them achieve technical skill, confidence, and a love for music. My lessons are patient, flexible, and designed to make learning both effective and enjoyable.
One of the highlights of my career was guiding a nervous beginner through their first recital. Through structured practice, encouragement, and creative exercises, they performed beautifully and gained confidence.
I focus on lessons that balance technique, creativity, and expression, inspiring students to grow as musicians and enjoy the transformative power of music.

I teach flute using a student-focused methodology that blends practical skills, creativity, and understanding. Using real-life examples and case studies, I make musical concepts relatable, clear, and easy to apply in performance. I emphasise motivation, inspiring students to stay confident, consistent, and enthusiastic in their learning journey.
Problem-solving is an integral part of my lessons. I guide students to overcome challenges in technique, rhythm, and expression, helping them develop independence and skill. Integrity is at the heart of my teaching, fostering discipline, honesty, and respect. My lessons are flexible, adapted to each student’s abilities, pace, and goals.
Along with flute, I teach related subjects like music theory and fundamentals to ensure students have a well-rounded understanding. This methodology ensures lessons are engaging, effective, and personalised, helping students grow creatively, technically, and personally.
