About Kelly
Calculation and visualization remain the most difficult hurdles for students because these skills require deep internal discipline. My coaching practice spans 13 years of dedicated work where I transitioned from competitive tournament play toward full-time instruction. After winning state-level junior coaching awards, I found that helping players bridge the gap between 1200 and 1800 ratings offers the most satisfaction.
My methodology relies on deep game analysis and strict blunder checking to ensure progress is grounded in reality. Beyond the board, I rely on my International Master title to explain complex pawn structures and opening principles. Mastery of these concepts creates a solid foundation for every student I guide toward success.
