About Brendan
My biggest passion is helping people become the best version of themselves. That's why I recently left my career as a corporate strategy consultant and returned to university to become a Clinical Psychologist.
I love working one-to-one with people to help them unlock their full potential, and I carry 5 years of tutoring experience from my time as an undergraduate student.
I'm also driven and love learning - I achieved an ATAR 99.9 before taking up a scholarship at UQ and studying psychology. I graduated at the top of my class with Honours after also participating in various research and leadership programs at UQ. I then entered the graduate program at PwC's strategy consulting team before moving to London to work in in-house strategy at a large corporate firm.
I have always backed myself to get the best from myself and I hope I can work with you to achieve the same!

I have 5 years experience as a tutor and coach across a wide age bracket (Year 5-12) and across many subjects (incl. English, Mathematics, Science, History, Physical Education and Psychology) as well as coaching on organisational skills, goal setting, time management and motivation/passion.
I have two mantras when it comes to tutoring: (1) every student is different and my approach should reflect that; and (2) results come from more than just learning content!
To get to know my students, I offer a free meet and greet for an initial discussion and an informal diagnostic.
From there, I customise my approach to focus sharply on content but also help my students work through any challenges they have with the important enabling factors that will support them not only at school, but long after that.
For continuity, I always recommend weekly sessions as a minimum during term and I am also available over holiday periods where students are keen to get a head start.
