About Paulo
Hi, I’m Paulo. I'm an artist who specializes in portraiture. I work both in studio and live as a street portrait artist in Toronto, as well as at public and private events. I’m now offering online drawing lessons where I help students develop their technique, observation, confidence, and creative voice.

Here’s a general outline of what we’ll cover:
1. Different drawing materials - their inherent qualities and how and when to use them.
2. Different approaches and methods to drawing a portrait (Loomis, gesture, measuring, tracing, etc.)
3. Chiaroscuro - how to use light and shadow to create three-dimensional form.
4. Perspective, planes, and foreshortening
5. Proportions and head/neck anatomy
6. Step-by-step processes and techniques
7. And more, depending on your pace and interests
These lessons are for beginners who want a clear and supportive starting point, and for intermediate artists who want to progress their technique and realism. They're also great if you're working on a personal project, building a portfolio, or just trying to get back into drawing with more confidence.
