About Cleo
I’m a French tutor with 3+ years of experience and a PhD in French Linguistics. My passion lies in helping teenagers aged 13–18 connect with the French language in ways that feel real and relevant. I bring French youth culture into lessons, from popular music and social media trends to films that teens actually watch. This makes grammar and vocabulary feel less like drills and more like tools for authentic communication. I’m especially skilled at teaching contemporary slang and conversational expressions. Teens love learning phrases they can actually use with French speakers online or abroad. My lessons go beyond textbooks to create a space where curiosity and creativity thrive. I design activities that are interactive, relatable, and memorable. I want students to leave each session feeling both challenged and energized. Together we review academic systems, course registration, and everyday campus communication. I also prepare learners for understanding lectures, writing assignments, and joining discussions. For heritage learners, I help strengthen reading and writing while building confidence in formal contexts. For travelers, I create lessons that combine practical expressions with cultural awareness. Every class is interactive, with plenty of space for questions and practice. I believe language learning should be both systematic and flexible.
