Description:

These classes include a combination of fitness-inspired stretching techniques for martial arts, yoga asanas, and artistic gymnastics. I have experience in all these physical disciplines and have created a stretching method that combines elements taken from each of them, in such a way that they can overlap or combine harmoniously. It is an intense leg flexibility training, mostly dynamic, where we will not only seek to stretch the muscles, but also strengthen them so that the students can perform muscle contractions in wider ranges of movements.


Duration: 1 hour and a half

Fridays at 6:00 p.m.

Clarification:
(THESE CLASSES ARE FOCUSED ON LEG FLEXIBILITY)

During the classes we will do different active dynamic and static active and passive flexibility exercises, along with leg pendulums. Some of the exercises:

-Dynamic stretching (at the beginning of the class), swinging legs, holding against gravity, joint mobilization within the maximum opening range and static stretching (at the end of the class/cooling down).

Abductors: lateral opening (box splits) and progressions; "frog" position (face down lying down and standing up); leg opening (flexion/extension).

Hamstrings + hip flexors (front split): front opening and progressions.

Hamstrings + abductors: frontal-lateral opening and progressions.

-Combination of dynamic stretching alternating front leg splits, front split and side splits.

-Combination of static stretching with some yoga asanas (postures).

-We will also do some martial arts kicks included in the active dynamic flexibility exercises to quickly increase flexibility within the maximum range of motion.

What makes this class unique: What makes me a unique private teacher is my sports experience of 24 years, venturing into the practice of different sports (rowing, taekwondo, running, cycling, ashtanga yoga, aerial and floor acrobatics), and my innate teaching ability and creativity to transmit knowledge and combine exercises from different sports disciplines.
