About Aisosa
I am a qualified structural engineer with 4+ years of experience working as a consultant, and mentoring work experience students at different stages. I have a BEng in civil engineering, and work part time as a creative, painting, sculpting and making music with various groups. I personally struggled in school as a child, mainly with maths. I believe this was due to how it is presented to students. Maths and physics can be daunting, I had to teach myself to learn and break down complex problems, making it engaging for myself. I am the oldest of 4 kids, I have spent most of my adult life teaching and mentoring my younger siblings at different stages in their education.

My lessons are best suited for students who struggle with paying attention in school, I believe every child is bright if we can learn to present the information in a more engaging format. We can discuss what areas of maths they struggle with and work together to create the best programme for them. Working as an engineer (Structural) myself, I have worked to mentor students on work experience and seen areas where I believe school curriculums could be adjusted to help students better understand complex topics. As an artist myself I believe creativity is in the heart of everything. Students should be encouraged to explore problems with creative freedom, while being guided, rather than being given facts to memorise with no freedom to investigate and understand where they came from.
