About Ellen
Hi, I’m Ellen Gayle Schwinger, and I’ve spent over 25 years helping children discover the joy of reading. I am a licensed Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDT/C) and hold advanced certifications as a Special Education Specialist and Generalist. I specialize in working with students who struggle with reading, writing, and spelling—including those with dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning differences. I am trained in proven, research-based methods such as Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Fundamentals, Phonics Boost, and Sound Partners. These programs allow me to tailor each lesson to your child’s unique needs and help them make real, measurable progress. I founded Arvada Learning & Coaching because I believe every child deserves the right tools and strategies to succeed. I offer: Comprehensive educational evaluations Individualized reading, writing, and math intervention Dyslexia screenings and progress monitoring Parent coaching and IEP/504 advocacy I approach every lesson with compassion, patience, and a deep belief that with the right support, your child can thrive.
