About Adriana
Hello! My name is Adriana, and I’m a bilingual engineering student with a strong background in math and a passion for teaching. I’ve worked with students from middle school to college, helping them not only improve their grades but also gain confidence in their ability to solve problems and think critically. As a bilingual engineering major, I combine strong technical skills with a patient and supportive teaching style to help students truly understand math—not just memorize it. I tutor middle school, high school, and early college students in topics ranging from basic math and algebra to geometry, trigonometry, and pre-calculus.
My approach is all about building confidence. I focus on explaining concepts in a clear, step-by-step way and using real-life examples whenever possible. Since I speak both English and Spanish, I can easily switch between languages to make sure students fully grasp the material.
A typical lesson starts with a quick review of what the student is currently learning, followed by targeted practice problems based on where they’re struggling most. I always encourage questions and adjust my explanations to match each student’s learning style. Whether it's preparing for an exam or staying on track with homework, I tailor each session to their goals.
What sets me apart is that I’m still a student myself—so I know how overwhelming math can feel. I create a calm, judgment-free environment where students feel comfortable asking anything. My goal is to make math less intimidating and help students walk away from each session feeling more capable.
