About Zehra
HEY! I am an experienced maths tutor. I am currently studying Psychology (Child Pathway) at the Open University. I am aspiring and working towards becoming a child psychologist. I have previously had experience as a teacher's assistant in various schools as well as in SEN. Growing up I struggled with maths a lot, however my secondary school teachers helped me reach my potential by being enthusiastic and helping me enjoy the subject. I want to be able to give the same enthusiasm to my students, forming a fun and effective learning environment!

I prioritise incorporating frequent breaks into lessons, especially when working with younger children, to accommodate their shorter attention spans. By establishing a structured routine—starting with 20 minutes of focused work followed by a 10-minute break, and then moving to 30 minutes of study—we can create a calm, relaxed, yet highly effective learning environment. This structure is flexible and can be tailored to each student's individual needs. The first lesson is complimentary, giving us the opportunity to get to know each other, discuss specific areas where help is needed, and personalise the learning experience accordingly.
