  • When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

I have always been passionate about science and mathematics, but my interest in teaching started when I saw my friend, who is also a teacher, inspiring and guiding students. Watching him teach with enthusiasm made me realize how fulfilling it is to help others understand complex topics. I started tutoring by helping my classmates and later expanded to online and offline teaching. Since then, it has become my passion, and I take great pride in seeing my students succeed.
  • Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

I teach physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics to students of all ages, from kids to adults. I enjoy discussing conceptual topics such as human physiology, genetics, chemical reactions, and problem-solving in physics and math. I also love making difficult topics easier by breaking them down into relatable examples. If I had to pick a less favorite topic, I'd say some parts of organic chemistry can be challenging to simplify, but I always strive to make them engaging for students.
  • Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

Yes, my role model as a teacher is Dr. Chandra Sharma, my physics tutor. He was a wonderful personality who followed three core principles in teaching: patience, hard work, and empathy. He believed that every student learns at their own pace, and a teacher's job is to guide them without making them feel pressured. His ability to break down even the most complex concepts with ease and his dedication to his students' success deeply inspired me. I strive to follow the same principles in my own teaching.
  • What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

A good tutor should have patience, subject expertise, and strong communication skills. But beyond that, making students feel comfortable is key. Sometimes, you need to act as a friend to understand their struggles, while other times, you have to be a mentor who guides them strictly for their own good. There are moments when a student feels demotivated, and you need to encourage them, and there are times when a little push or scolding is necessary for their better future. A great tutor knows how to balance all these roles.
  • Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

I remember during school, I struggled with understanding the cardiovascular system in biology. One day, a teacher used a simple balloon and pipe analogy to explain how the heart pumps blood. That visual made everything click! Since then, I realized how powerful simple explanations and analogies can be.

Another defining moment was before my medical entrance exam. I was really tense, doubting whether I could make it. But my teacher helped me regain confidence. He reminded me of all the effort I had put in and told me to believe in myself. His words stayed with me, and I carried that confidence into my exam. Now, as a tutor, I always try to be that source of encouragement for my students.
  • What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or are still facing in your subject?

One of the biggest challenges in teaching is analyzing the current level of knowledge of a student. Some students already have a strong foundation, so I can directly jump into advanced topics. If I start with the basics, they may feel bored. On the other hand, some students lack fundamental knowledge, and for them, I need to start from scratch. Finding the right balance is crucial. Once I assess their level, I can perfectly tailor my teaching style to ensure they learn effectively. Another challenge I faced personally was overcoming the fear of complex topics like physics numericals or organic chemistry, but with consistent practice, I mastered them.
  • Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?

My primary passion is medicine-I'm a student aspiring to be a wonderful surgeon one day. That goal drives me to constantly learn and improve. Apart from that, I'm passionate about teaching, treeking, hiking, playing the piano, working out at the gym, playing cricket, and exploring new tech products. These hobbies keep me balanced and bring energy to my life, making me a better teacher and learner.
  • What makes you a Superprof (besides answering these interview questions)?

I believe my dedication to my students, my ability to simplify complex topics, and my personalized approach to teaching make me a Superprof. I don't just teach for the sake of delivering lessons-I consider my students' success as my own responsibility. I care about their growth, their progress, and their results. Anyone who truly considers their students as their own responsibility, treats them like a friend, and genuinely cares about their future can become a Superprof.
