About Tilly
I am a student currently studying French and International Relations at the University of St Andrews. Having lived in Paris for three years and studied French for over 10, I am able to teach all aspects of the GCSE and A Level French curriculum. I specialise particularly in the French AQA A Level and GCSE.
Having taken my iGCSE French a year early and securing a 9 (A* equivalent), my school asked whether I would consider tutoring students in the years below. So, since 2019, I have been tutoring students both in person and online.
I am a really enthusiastic and hard-working person with plenty of patience and would love to help teach French to whoever I can!

My teaching style is based around practise. I believe mistakes are an essential part of learning and therefore, the best lesson format would be to consistently use questions to ensure understanding and construct increasing confidence using the language. I have found this to be true of all aspects of the French curriculum including writing, reading, listening and especially the oral element of the GCSE/A Level.
On top of French and English, I am currently learning Italian. So, I completely understand how difficult it can be to learn a new language. I hope with my lessons this difficulty will be eased and improving your French skills will be something to look forward to as well as enjoyable each week.
