My methodology would be slightly different. I like to teach how I learnt myself. I try to understand the formulas and the key concepts first. Then I try to build the student's confidence by trying solved examples. After that's done, I give them some solved examples question to solve without looking, which if they don't know the answer to, they can see the solution. After the confidence is built and the student is sure, we try to solve questions with only answers and no solutions and tally our own answers.
I pay more attention to the understanding of the aproach than the answer itself.
