I'm a law student. I've teaching experience of two and a half years, and all my students are in the top tier. There's "no one size fits all" solutions, and there should be a range of effective teaching strategies. I have well-planned and scheduled classes. And I arrange proper and periodic test series.

For me a students visualization and understand how the schooling applies in the real-world,
by Cooperative learning and Inquiry-based instructions helps them to gain problem-solving skills and deeper understanding of academic concepts. as both skills are important.
I think with some guidance and helping students to search their correct direction can help any child to gain success with some hard work.
