About Charlie
My name is Charlie Emil Nicholls-Petrie and I am a student at Loughborough University studying Politics, Philosophy and Economics. At A Level I also studied Economics and Politics and achieved Straight A's throughout. I aspire to work in the world of Investment banking or Private equity. At A level and Degree level it is important that students have an interest in their subjects. For me, both Economics and Politics are a passion of mine. I have experienced specifically micro economics outside my studies through internships for Private Equity firms. For politics I co-hosted a political podcast where two of us analysed and debated current political and economical affairs.
I would like to tutor you as a student either Economics or Politics because I feel they are the most applicable subjects to the real world. In addition, I recall how being tutored helped me strengthen my ability in these subjects but also develop a passion for them and that's exactly what I would like to do for my students.

My lessons are for AS and A level students, I specialise under the Edexcel specification for Economics and Government / Politics.
Each student will receive a different approach which best suits them and how they learn. I create development plans for each student which outlines all material that they look to cover with me and a progress tracker which measures their ability for each component of the course.
I offer different types of lessons for example sessions on topics requested by the student or parents or reinforcing and cementing content taught in school. I teach students content in depth using a variety of software and revision materials and during exam periods I focus on exam technique via exam papers.
I have a very strong understanding of Edexcel's specification and mark schemes and I have been trained in marking both AS and A level Economics papers.
