About Srivishnu
Hi there! My name is Srivishnu Pyda, and I’m a junior at the University of Maryland, College Park. I’m majoring in computer science, so I have a strong interest and foundation in math. I have taken advanced coursework such as linear algebra and discrete mathematics.
I have a year of experience tutoring middle school students in math and fundamental computer science concepts. I worked one on one with these students and learned how to adapt my teaching style to the students’ style of learning either by finding new ways to explain a concept or adjusting the pace of the lesson.

In my tutoring methods, I prioritize clear and effective communication, as well as a focus on building a strong foundation in concepts before diving into more advanced material. I believe that this approach helps students understand the material more deeply and build confidence in their abilities. I am also a strong believer in the importance of hands-on practice, and strive to incorporate this into my tutoring sessions through exercises and problems for students to work through. After the lesson, I provide students with feedback, review materials, and extra practice materials to solidify the concepts they learned. Overall, my goal is to not only help students succeed academically, but also to cultivate a love for learning and problem-solving.
