About May Beth
I am a student studying BSc Social Sciences at UCL. I have studied English Literature to AS level and English Language to A level. I have prior experience in tutoring an EAL student at GCSE level in English. In just a period of a few months I managed to give her the confidence she needed to achieve a level 5 in English Language and a level 6 in English Literature, giving her the grades she required to progress to sixth form. I also have experience supporting primary school aged children with their literacy in a variety of settings from schools to a refugee drop-in centre.
I believe that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to teaching, and therefore tailor lessons to the needs of the individual student. I am willing to give lessons to students of all ages and abilities up to GCSE level, and adults and children who are learning English as a second language.
