About Emem
I am studying Medicine at Imperial College London, I love learning and persevering through obstacles using critical thinking and I want to share this joy in learning with students through tutoring. I love tutoring in the field of mathematics as I enjoy the thought process one needs to tackle and solve a problem, and it is even more rewarding when I help someone finally solve a question in that one difficult topic they struggle with. However, exams can be scary so my goal is to build up your confidence in test-taking as well as show you how to approach all questions, even the ones you aren't 100% sure on, to gain the most marks possible. In addition, I am patient and kind with someone who is struggling and will adapt my way of teaching as many times as needed to help someone understand a problem.

A typical lesson will last 1 hour. These lessons are tailored for students from Year 7 to Year 11 who will take GCSE maths, higher or foundation. I have tutored students in maths part-time for 4 years. The structure of the lesson will start with asking you what you want to cover and then explaining a topic using example questions as a guide to get to grasp how it will be presented in an exam, then finish by going through practice questions, always checking how you understand the task.
