About Javier
Hello! I am Javier Quemada, a young man of 18 years, currently residing in Madrid due to this World Pandemic, I have lived and played basketball in the United States for almost 3 years, specifically in Ohio and in Los Angeles, Calfornia. I am fluent in English and I love teaching and teaching English. I have the TOEFL exam certification. I am one of the people who think that a language is not learned by studying grammar all the time, a language is learned based on grammar but, most importantly, speaking it and knowing a lot of vocabulary, and I can assure you by own experience that this is acquired speaking and speaking in English with someone, trying to express yourself with your words in that language, never resorting to Spanish to express yourself, getting stuck and having difficulties is how you really learn. My methodology is very easy, it is the same that I have used in the United States to teach Spanish, the first thing is to create a relationship of friendship and trust with the student and to know a little more about Him / Her and to know their current level of English . Once you know that, activities will be done, above all speaking, to acquire grammar and vocabulary that will then be used in the speaking that will be done every day for most of the time that the student is teaching. There will also be reading days to improve reading comprehension and after that the student will explain to me what he has read and I will ask him questions about it, all spoken to speed up the fluency process.
